Ketut Darmayasa, Chairman of IFBEC Bali, said that this Munas is themed “Enhancing Communication and Unity Through Food & Beverage Excellence”, which emphasizes the importance of communication and unity among food and beverage industry players to create superior tourism.
According to him, collaboration and synergy between tourism stakeholders is very important, and IFBEC as a professional association and tourism association must be able to maintain communication and good relations with all tourism stakeholders.
“IFBEC is part of the tourism Pentahelix (a model comprising businesspeople, the government, community, academics, and the media) to contribute to developing professional tourism human resources who are tough, superior, competent, and dignified,” said Ketut Darmayasa at the opening of the IFBEC National Conference at the Grand Istana Rama Hotel, Thursday (January 25).
In addition, Darmayasa also responded to the target for foreign tourist arrivals nationally is quite high, ranging from 12-14 million foreign tourists, which Bali will contribute to 40-50% of the number.
“Hopefully the political year in 2024 will not affect the arrival of foreign tourists. Let’s work together to keep Bali safe and comfortable to visit,” he said.
Other programs held at the conference are some competitions including Latte Art (Barista), Mixology Flair Competition (Bartender), Best Waiter of the Year, and Sommelier Competition presenting 12 professional judges including from Malaysia and Germany.
